I was born and raised in Houston, Tx. I attended Texas State University and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in English. My career in pharmacy began when I started working as a pharmacy technician in 2015. After eight years of experience, I decided it was time to apply to pharmacy school. During my journey into pharmacy school, I noticed that all the pharmacy-related organizations at the university have been nationally established. As an innovative individual wanting to keep pace with changes, I created a club that could be seen as highly relatable to today's technology-driven world to explore new opportunities in pharmacy.

Nigerian. Christian. Fashion Designer. Former collegiate athlete. Medical Doctor. Now I’m embarking on this pharmacy journey that I feel my skills are tailor-made for according to God’s plan. It’s not always about where you start (medicine) but where you finish. RX Rookies is a podcast club cultivated by 3 classmates where we hope for 3 things: 1. To bring the profession of pharmacy to the forefront locally, regionally and nationally. 2. To bring together the masses in all health care professions and provide them an additional outlet to showcase their “voice”. 3. To bring awareness to the Feik School of Pharmacy as being one of the best programs in the country!

With a B.S. in Biology, my journey has always been driven by a passion for the medical field and a keen interest in business. Initially, pharmacy wasn't on my radar, but helping and accompanying my family, who work with pharmaceutical representatives, changed that. This experience exposed me to the unique blend of medical expertise, business acumen, and interpersonal skills required in the pharmaceutical industry. Witnessing firsthand how the industry integrates patient care with persuasive sales presentations inspired me to pursue a PharmD degree. While not strictly necessary, this degree equips me with advanced clinical knowledge and a deeper understanding of the pharmaceutical landscape. I am committed to aiming higher and achieving excellence, leveraging my comprehensive education to drive innovation and make a significant impact in both patient care and the business side of healthcare.

I am originally from Boerne, Texas. I received my B.S. in Cellular Biology prior to starting pharmacy school. I always knew from a young age that I wanted to pursue a career in the medical field. It wasn’t until graduating from undergrad and working at my local pharmacy that I decided to pursue a career in pharmacy. I believe that the podcast is an outlet for pharmacy to advocate and inform others about the profession. There are many career paths a PharmD graduate can pursue, being able to shed light on and present those careers is something I want to partake in. The fact of the matter is that I have an opportunity to educate and provide knowledge for those that are interested in the career and possibly those that may not have considered it an option.

I was born in east Africa, and moved to the US in 2007. I completed my undergraduate courses at University of Incarnate Word. I come from a large competitive family. I always had a love for learning and over time gained a love for science. My journey in STEM led me to pharmaceutical science, which led me down the path of pharmacy. Throughout school i excelled in teaching new material to classmates. Eventually i wanted to reach a wider audience. This is what motivated me to join the podcast club.
Secretary
As a first gen college student, I chose pharmacy because I wanted a career where I was knowledgeable in medications without the close patient contact. This is because I wanted my family to have someone to advocate for them.

I am from the Rio Grande Valley and attended the University of Texas at San Antonio, where I earned a BS in Biology. I've always been fascinated by how medications work and knew that pharmacy school was the right path for me. However, I was initially unsure of the steps needed to get there. While I’m satisfied with the route I took, I want to highlight the various pathways to pharmacy school. That’s why I’m happy to have joined this podcast. Many of us can share our journeys to pharmacy school and the essential information you need to know.
